God's existence is necessary

From Religions Wiki

Some apologists argue that God is "necessarily existent" and not contingent.

"If classical Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are right, God's existence is necessary; it is not derived from any law of nature or from some higher supergod who was in turn created by an even higher deity, and so on. [1]"

Counter arguments[edit]

It is difficult to see how an entity could ever be known to be necessarily existent.

All other entities appear to be contingent, so God is contingent too.

God could be a brute fact but still contingent.
