The Harry Potter book series is a 7-part series for children and teenagers written by the author J.K. Rowling. It follows the adventures of a young wizard named Harry Potter and his friends. Many Christians believe that the series promotes witchcraft and leads people away from religion.

"The major concern of Christians is that the books trivialize the biblical admonitions against witchcraft and sorcery. Even though the spells and magic in the books are not actual incantations, many feel that the stories legitimize the idea of practicing witchcraft – especially in targeting young children who lack solid, biblical teaching about the dangers of these things. [1]"

This concern is irrelevant because there is no such thing as magic (at least in the sense used in Harry Potter and the Bible). The fact that the Bible forbids magic, which does not exist, is an obvious error in the Bible.
