Homunculus argument

From Religions Wiki

The homunculus argument or fallacy is an implication that an entity in our minds must be interpreting the data. It is often described for the sake of visual imagining as a tiny man in our head, watching a screen displaying the reception of our eyes. This creates an infinite regression where there must be a homunculus for the homunculus. This is related to an argumentum ad ignorantiam with regard to neurological science.
