From Religions Wiki
Overview
Argument from intimidation (related to argumentum verbosium) is the attempt to circumvent logic by questioning an opponent's character using his or her argument.
Example
- "Only the immoral can fail to see that Candidate X’s argument is false."
Candidate X's argument is deemed false only by asserting that he or she is immoral.
