Mark Twain (pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens) was an American author, humorist, and atheist. Twain wrote Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and numerous other classic works. Twain was known for his keen wit and biting satire. Faulkner considered him "the father of American Literature".
