Modern paganism, also known as contemporary paganism, and neopaganism, is a group of religious movements claiming to have originated from the many historical pagan beliefs of ancient Europe. Although they are similar, contemporary Pagan religious movements are different from each other and no single set of beliefs, practices, or sacred texts are shared by them. Polytheism, animism, and pantheism are common features in Pagan theology. Pagan days of celebration are seasonally based festivals of the Wheel of the Year.
