Ned Block is an American philosopher who currently teaches at New York University. He is most famous for his work in philosophy of mind and consciousness and has done extensive work in cognitive science. He is most famous for formulating the Blockhead Argument against the Turing Test as a test of intelligence in his 1981 paper Behaviorism and Psychologism.
