Parsimony is the taking of extreme care at arriving at a course of action; or unusual or excessive frugality, extreme economy or stinginess.

Counter-apologetics[edit]

In argumentation, especially as it relates to science, an important principle is that an explanation of known facts should be as parsimonious as possible. This notion is elaborated by Occam's Razor.
