Criticism
Use of Marijuana
Due to the religious use of marijuana, it is possible that many Rastafarians can develop an addiction to it.
Afrocentric philosophy
The philosophy of Rastafarianism involves a history where African people are considered the developers of civilization, which is not entirely accurate. It also considers the African people to be God's chosen race, which if taken to extreme, can result in reverse racism and African supremacism.
