Dawkins in 2010

The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science is a dual non-profit organization, with registered charities in Great Britain and the United States of America, founded in 2006 by professor Richard Dawkins.

The organization was founded with the goal of defending science research and education from the "deliberate attack from organized ignorance." Its stated mission is to sponsor research into the psychology of irrational belief, oppose the undermining of science education by religious creationist movements, raise public consciousness about the unmerited respect conferred upon religion and religious practices, and provide a network of support and resources to atheists and secular causes.
